Adult education

Education is one of the most important factor for the human civilization. in order to reduce the number of illiterate adults, it is implemented in most of the countries. there prevails a great difference between the education for children and the education for adults. children learn formal education but adult education is informal. the education of children is given for their higher studies. but adult education is limited. adults education normally makes the illiterate adults literate. illiterate adults are taught how to read and write. the basic skill and knowledge of language and mathematics are given to adults. the government of Nepal has impleted adult education all over the country. illiterate adults are informed to go to adult education centres which are opened at the centre of the villages. adult literacy classes are run in the morning or in the evening. the adults who are learning adult education are not treated like school children; they are especially treated by the teachers.
the main aim of the adult literacy class is to make the illiterate people literate. literacy is the basic need for all the people. the adults who are illiterate do not go to general schools with small children. illiterate people have to face with many problems. even they cannot read their personal letters. they are easily cheated by the catty people. they cannot understand their duties and rights as the citizens. therefore they should be taught their duties and rights. adults education is based on the opinion that nobody can have a happy and prosperous life unless he/she is educated. it is expected that after the completion of adult education, they can read simple books, letters, newspapers, magazines and solve simple applied mathematics.
adult education is basically necessary for the illiterate adults. It is specially necessary in developing countries like Nepal, Bhutan and so on. all the illiterate adults should be encouraged to learn adult education. it is necessary for the upliftment of the countries as well.
